A glorious day for
a kickoff to not only the new year for
the garden club, but also the 75th
anniversary year of continuous
existence. Nearly 70 people
attended the soup, salad and all the
trimmings luncheon that was presented by
the officers and chairpersons.
Along with the
harvest theme, a demonstration on tomato
canning and pickling was presented to
bring members up to date on the safest
methods of food preservation.
To share our own
bounty, members each brought food
items that were contributed to a local
food pantry.
